The focus of the FASHION PRODUCT unit is to take an explorative approach to the design and development of fashion product. The development of innovative garment finish, details, materials and construction techniques are at the core of this unit.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS BRIEF IS to RE-Imagine, RE-Design and RE-Make a piece of iconic outerwear for a defined brand/designer of your choice. The new version must be fashion forward; innovative in design, fabrication & manufacturing techniques. In order to be successful, the finished garment must be compatible with the aesthetic values of your chosen brand/designer. You will produce an extensive body of design research, development and sampling whilst producing comprehensive patterns, prototype toile(s) and a sample room spec pack.
